First Blood-Glucose Tracker smartwatch, has a startup come up with a holy portable smartwatch grail in health? Quantum Procedure Integrated in Tokyo, Japan says it does reliably estimate blood glucose through its invasive (non-prick) glucometer. In late 2021 or early 2022 Quantum technology is projected to reach the markets.

If this smartwatch succeeds, you can avoid the 1,6 million deaths from diabetes, plus innumerable amputations per year. The big question, though, is it going to hit America or Europe with a working blood glucose bracelet?

Wearable Smartwatch Blood Glucose Tracker of Quantum: US Markets?

The technology smartwatch blood-glucose tracker could be used in the US and in Europe according to Sumitaka Maruyama, a member of the Managing Board of Quantum. Only in view of the looser regulatory and product validity standards for devices with a possible medical use, particularly for devices which were already on the market, does the United States market offer distinct benefits compared with other areas.

Since Quantum provides licenses, Fitbit, Apple or Quantum may easily insert the sensor with little difficulties in a potential product line.

The future of the technology thus depends on whether it operates as announced or not.

How does the Blood-Glucose Monitor Wearable smartwatch Quantum work?

Maruyama says that the science of Quantum will eliminate the precision of its glucose calculation with the Freestyle Lire. The game? Quantum appears to have overcome a wearables market trouble: a non-invasive smart cuff glucose measurement.

The basic technique of the Quantum Glucometer uses infra rouge light using a photo plethysmography technique (PPG). The PPG technology is cheap and reliable. The smartwatch Fitbit and Apple Watch you see them being used. Both instruments can potentially detect atrial fibrillation, which is a heart attack.

For control of blood glucose, however, there is a significant problem: monitoring blood glucose is significantly harder to eliminate than predicting repetitive cardiac beats. Because a variety of other compounds circulate in the bloodstream it is impossible to reliably quantify them.

In order to work with the light sensor, a light beam must be guided to the blood springs via the exterior skin layer, the glucose beam must be bounced off in the blood and the light absorbed by a sensor detected. And due to the interference produced by other blood-supported compounds, precise measurement requires a very specific infra rot light bandwidth and special hardware components which minimize signal interference.

Will the science of Quantum function on a smartwatch?

While Quantum technology uses similar PPGs, it is incompatible with current wearables like Fitbit.

A typical blood oxy metric sensor does not have the right form of blood glucose monitoring light source or device. To Compare to tiny quantities of movement and external lighting, it can be quickly discarded infra rot sensors used to monitor blood oxygen. An exercise-oriented watch therefore cannot operate with an algorithm of Quantum. Maruyama refused to comment on the subject.

Quantum is the technology to be licensed to firms such as Fitbit and Apple. A sufficiently large producer could apply the technology to consumer markets. But it only works as advertised when the technology works.

Is Glucose Trackers Wearable Blood possible? “Yes” is Science

Some reliable PPG-based glucometers. In1994, has been the research because, in a report published in 2012, the technology has not only been feasible but also specific.

The Freestyle Lire and DexCom G6 deliver invasive, glucose-tracked stick-on sensors. They are costly as well as environmentally unsustainable.

While the upfront expenses of the Freestyle Libra are not bankrupt, the long-term price reaches to the extreme. The sensors of FreeStyle and DEXCOM use battery replacement, which requires up to $3,650 / year, with a replacement of $100 per 10 days.

Quantum says its portable tracker is just as reliable as Freestyle Libra, but without a replacement cost of $100 per week. A brace-mounted blood glucose tracker could change the game and provide all diabetes sufferers with life-saving warning systems.
